About Dr. Max Baum
Most people who walk through the door at Explore Motion have already tried everything. Rest. Ice. A round of generic physical therapy. Maybe a chiropractor who adjusted them, sent them home, and told them to come back next week.
They got temporary relief. Not real results.
I'm Dr. Max Baum, an Overland Park raised chiropractor with a background in Exercise Science and Certified Exercise Physiology. I built Explore Motion because I believed there was a better way to treat pain. Not just getting people comfortable, but making them genuinely stronger and more resilient than before they got hurt.
My approach combines chiropractic adjustments, dry needling, soft tissue therapy, and progressive rehab into one cohesive plan. Every patient gets a program, not just a table visit. We find the root cause, address it with the right tools, and build from there until you're not just out of pain but capable of more than you were before.
I graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2022 and have continued building my skills through ongoing education in Functional Range Conditioning, the McKenzie Method, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and strength and conditioning.
Growing up in Overland Park, movement was always just part of how I was wired. Soccer, lifting, anything physical. That carried into Baker University where I studied Exercise Science and competed on the Men's Soccer team, into my ACSM Exercise Physiology certification, and eventually into building a practice centered around the idea that movement is medicine.
Outside the clinic you'll find me in the gym, cooking, or somewhere around Kansas City with people I care about.
If you're done settling for feeling a little better, let's get to work.
